In the heart of Jaipur, where tradition meets artistry, two sisters—Radhika and Shruti—came together with a simple dream: to wrap the world in comfort and love.
RADHIKA JALAN , a devoted wife and mother to a spirited little boy, always found joy in the soft touch of mulmul cotton—its lightness, its gentleness, and the way it felt like a warm hug on even the most tiring days.
SHRUTI KANODIA , an I/O psychologist with a deep understanding of people and their need for warmth—both emotional and physical—shared the same appreciation for the little things that make life softer, calmer, and more beautiful.
Together, they founded Dohar—a brand born out of love, legacy, and layers of comfort.
Our Story – The Heart Behind Dohar
The name Dohar comes from the Hindi word for "DOHARANA," which perfectly captures what the sisters envisioned: a space where traditional artistry and modern needs meet. Collaborating with skilled artisans from Jaipur, Radhika and Shruti turned to the ancient handblock printing technique on mulmul cotton to create pieces that are not just textiles, but treasures.
From delicate baby blankets to thoughtfully crafted adult Dohars, every product reflects their commitment to quality, aesthetics, and above all—comfort.
